Results:

There was a mix up with the U15 semi-final fixtures as the matches were set before all teams played their final rounds.  A round 4 result caused a change in the table standings meaning that Kildysart’s home semi v St. Breckans was changed to an away semi v Clooney Quin.  Clooney Quin was too strong on the day winning 5-11 to 1-11.  Congratulations to the team and management of Niall Ginnane and Frank Kennedy on a great season.  The boys entered the Division 2 Cup after a successful run in the Division 2-3 round-robin and got to the semi-final.

The U14 ladies are winning all around them having won their first five matches.  The team won 2 matches in the past week, overcoming Newmarket on the road and Clooney Quin at home last night (Tuesday).

The Seniors victory at home v Ennistymon on Saturday last was just the ticket to start their championship preparations.  Kildysart saw their early lead evaporate but they stayed in the game and got the win with a point in injury time, securing the Cusack Cup for 2025.  Tap here for the full match report.

Sam Maguire Championship

Being the only team to qualify for the All Ireland Football series by being a provisional finalist, Clare always faced an uphill battle.  However, a win for Clare over Donegal coupled with a Tyrone win or draw with Cork, will see the Banner through to a preliminary quarter-final and will knock out the boys from Tír Chonaill.  Round three takes place on Saturday 15th June in Castlebar at 3pm, with the prelim QF on the next weekend.  Clare suffered a heavy loss in round 2 away to Tyrone last weekend but Emmet McMahon was the top scorer with 5 points.

Ladies Intermediate All Ireland

Clare, last year’s Intermediate All Ireland finalists got their 2024 championship off with a great start a win away to Monaghan on Sunday last, Clare 6-6, Monaghan 1-13.  Clare host Offaly this Sunday in Cusack Park at 1pm.  Tap here for tickets.
