Player Welfare

Players are central to our club, the GAA and all its activities. The welfare of players is, therefore, of paramount importance to us.

The GAA Player Welfare booklet provides best practice advice in relation to Player Welfare for players.  Some other quick links that may be of interest are:

Player injury schemes/insurance

The GAA and LGFA have an injury scheme/fund which is funded entirely from Club, GAA and/or LGFA funds. The scheme/fund are NOT an Insurance cover and do not seek to compensate fully for injury, rather lessen the hardship to players and officials. The scheme/fund supplement other schemes/insurance cover where applicable e.g. VHI, Aviva. These should always be leveraged in the first instance.
