A new addition to the Player Development Porgramme (PDP) this year, is the addition of a PDP referee offering to anyone who like to give refereeing a 'go'. Please note, this opportunity is not part of the official LGFA Referee Pathway, but more so to provide people who may have an interest in referring to experience refereeing in a fun and safe environment.
The online training will take place on Thursday 25th July from 7-9pm. We would be grateful if you could share this with anyone you feel may have an interest. If someone does express an interest, then it is important details are provided via the relevant County Secretary, Coach or Referee Development lead and/or PDP lead on their behalf. Please see below some criteria that will be applied:
- Referees must be at least 15 years of age or above
- Referees do not necessarily need to be selected from the U15/17 PDP.
- This opportunity is not exclusive to females
- This opportunity is open to adults also who like to give refereeing a go
Ideally, those who conduct the online training are available to assist at our up-and-coming U13 and U15 Provincial Festival Days. At these days, the referees will be provided with support on the day to ensure their experience is positive and enjoyable.
