Summer? What summer? ๐ง๏ธ๐ It may be a bit quiet on the games front, but weโve players involved in the Gaynor Cup , others preparing for the Kennedy Cup โฝ, more winning Schools Finals ๐ฅ, and a few doing battle with the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert ๐โ๏ธOur senior team took one look at their week off and decided the sensible thing to do was climb Carrauntoohil ๐๏ธ๐คฃ
On top of that, weโve had players rowing currachs ๐ฃ and bringing home trophies ๐, while somebody somewhere thought it was also a good time to launch a nursery group ๐ถ๐Standard GAA club behaviour really. Nothing quiet about it. ๐

Player Updates
As if football wasnโt enough, our Adult Menโs team decided thereโd be no rest for the wicked and headed off to climb Carrauntoohil at the weekend ๐๏ธ๐คฃ
A big shout-out to Noel Cusack, who led the climb โ weโre sure it was an enjoyable day, even if there may be a few sore legs after it! ๐ ๐
Huge pride in the club for these two ๐
Isabelle is currently taking part in the Gaynor Cup, while Nicky is getting set for the Kennedy Cup in UL next week.
Best of luck to them both โ we are extremely proud and hope they enjoy the experience.
A tough day for Siney and Robbie, who lost out to Down in the Minor Football Tier 2 All-Ireland Quarter Final.
Both can be very proud of their efforts in the Clare jersey, and we are sure this wonโt be the last time we see them involved at county level. They have now turned their focus to the Leaving Cert and Junior Cert respectively. Best of luck to both with the exams ahead. ๐
Huge congrats to Eimear on being crowned Junior Champion 2026 in the Ocean to City Currach section at the weekend ๐๐ฃ
Eimerar rowed with Cormac and รine from Kildysart Currach Club โ a brilliant achievement for them all.
A big shout-out too to Siobhan Foley who took part in the adult race with Kilrush Currachs ๐๐
A huge well done to Noel Kelly, who helped Burrane/Knockerra School claim the Division 4 National School Final title ๐๐
There was no shortage of support for Noel on the day either, with some very enthusiastic followers more than happy to make an early exit from school to cheer him on ๐
Hard luck to Coolmeen/Cranny, who put up a very good game.
Wishing Reuben Ginnane the very best of luck as part of the Clare team competing in the Celtic Challenge All-Ireland U17 Division 2 Final this Saturday in Limerick. ๐๐
Throwback Thursday - Thanks to Seamus McQuaid for the Pictures Clare 1991 Junior All Ireland Champions who were captained by Kildysarts Helen Murphy A few familiar heads below for sure ๐ Some of them youโd recognise quicker now from shouting at the line for their kids, the coaches looking like they havenโt aged a bit, which is hard to believe considering the years of GAA chaos theyโve survived ๐
๐ Coach Quote of the Week:
Saturday evening training in the middle of a soccer final โ sure the boys will be full of beans and have no interest in the game whatsoever.โ ๐
