First Aid & Defibrillator Workshop
Kildysart GAA/LGFA, in partnership with Kildysart First Responders (KFR), held a Basic First Aid and Defibrillator Workshop in the clubhouse on Monday evening.
The workshop was both informative and practical, covering how our coaches and mentors should respond to concussion, neck injuries and other injuries that may occur during training sessions and matches. Participants also received an introduction to basic first aid and the use of a defibrillator.
This workshop forms part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our players receive the best possible care and support from our coaches and mentors in the event of an injury while playing Gaelic football.
Kildysart First Responders are an invaluable part of our community and the surrounding areas. They provide a vital service, often being first on the scene to assist in medical emergencies before an ambulance or doctor arrives. Their dedication and commitment have made a real difference to countless lives over the years.
We are proud to support KFR and would encourage anyone who feels they could make a difference to consider getting involved. You can learn more by visiting the Kildysart First Responders Facebook page.
A sincere thank you to Seamus Sinnott and Joe OβDonoghue for generously giving up their time to organise and deliver the workshop. We are truly grateful for your support and expertise.
