🏆 What an Evening at the U14 Football Super 10s! 🏆
Kildysart/Coolmeen entered the U14 Football Super 10s competition held in Caherlohan on Wednesday evening, and what a night it turned out to be!
Competing in the A/B Division alongside 15 other teams, we were drawn in a very strong Group 1 with Lissycasey, Clann Lir and Shannon Gaels/Kilmihil. With only the group winners progressing to the semi-finals, every game mattered.
The boys produced another excellent display, showing great teamwork and determination to book their place in the final against St. Joseph's Miltown Malbay.
With both finalists guaranteed progression to the Munster stage of the competition, there was still plenty to play for as the teams battled it out for the cup.

Miltown started strongly, but our lads showed great character to fight back. Playing some outstanding football, scoring superb two-pointers and producing a last-minute penalty save, Kildysart/Coolmeen edged a thrilling final by the narrowest of margins to be crowned champions.
The boys now advance to the Munster Super 10s Finals in Mallow on October 31st.
A huge credit to every player who represented the club. The boys left everything on the pitch, played with tremendous heart, skill and teamwork throughout the evening, and fully deserved their success.
A special mention must go to the coaches and parents who made the evening possible. To the management team, thank you for the time, dedication and encouragement you give to these boys week in and week out. To the parents, thank you for the lifts, support from the sidelines, and for following the team throughout the evening. Success like this is only possible because of the commitment and support shown both on and off the field
As if winning the cup wasn't enough, the boys finished the night with a trip to The Plaza where they met two of Kildysart's newest Senior stars. The pair passed on some championship advice ahead of Sunday's U14 opener.
Congratulations to the players and management on a fantastic achievement. Best of luck as they now prepare to represent Clare in Munster! 💙💛🏆👏🏻
