🏐 Weekly Round-Up 🏐

We come out of a busy week of football, with the return to school adding another layer of activity to the mix.

Now our attention turns to the week ahead as our U14 girls begin their championship journey, our underage teams continue to get valuable football under their belts, and our Junior Ladies prepare for Round 4 of their championship campaign.

As always, we wish all our players, coaches and supporters the very best of luck in the days ahead.  "Every match is a new opportunity. Keep believing, keep battling, " 🏐

 πŸ Junior B Championship - Round 3🏐

Hard luck to our Junior B team, who were defeated by Ennistymon in Round 3 of the Championship. The lads battled right to the final whistle and never gave up despite the result not going their way.
They now await confirmation of their relegation playoff fixture, where they'll be hoping to bounce back. Best of luck to the players and management in the games ahead. πŸ’ͺ🏐

🏐 Senior Championship Round 3 Highlight 🏐
Going into Round 3, with many tipping Ennistymon as favourites, the lads had everything to play for.

Ennistymon came flying out of the blocks and after 10 minutes Kildysart had yet to register a score, trailing by 1-2 to 0-0. It was Diarmuid O'Donnell who finally got Kildysart off the mark with a free in the 11th minute, and that score seemed to spark the team into life.

Over the next five minutes, Kildysart completely turned the game around. A brilliant two-pointer from Emmet McMahon, along with scores from Liam Casey and Jamie Evans, brought the sides level. Ennistymon found scores hard to come by thereafter, managing just one more point before the break, while Kildysart continued to build momentum and headed in at half-time leading 0-12 to 1-3.  A special mention to Kieran O'Brien, whose lightning-quick reactions produced a superb goal-line save to help Kildysart stay in control.

After a quick change of goalkeeper jersey at the interval, Kildysart emerged for the second half with determination written all over them. What followed was undoubtedly their best performance of the year. The football was fast, direct and full of confidence, providing great entertainment for everyone in attendance.

By the final whistle, Kildysart had produced a superb display to run out convincing winners on a scoreline of 1-23 to 2-9.

The performance caught plenty of attention across the county, with Clare GAA naming it their Performance of the Weekend. Special mention must go to the ageless Keith O'Connor, who earned praise in Clare GAA's match report. While they called him ageless, we might go one step further and call him "The Man of Steel" after the hits  he absorbed throughout the game and kept on going.

Huge congratulations to the players and management on a fantastic victory. Attention now turns to the  draw, and we look forward to seeing who stands in our way next.

"Championship football is about stepping up when it matters most, and on Saturday evening the lads did exactly that." 🏐

🏐 U14 Championship Round 1 🏐
The Kildysart/Coolmeen U14s got their championship campaign off to a perfect start on Sunday morning.
Still riding the wave of their Super 10 success earlier in the week, the boys travelled to Kilmihil knowing they faced a tough challenge against a strong Kilmihil/Shannon Gaels side. Once again, they put in a tremendous shift, showing great determination, teamwork and some excellent football throughout.  It was a hard-fought contest, but the boys dug deep when it mattered most and came out on top with a deserved victory.
Congratulations to all the players and management on a fantastic start to the championship. Attention now turns to Round 2 in Kildysart on Saturday, 13th September, where the lads will be hoping to build on this excellent opening performance.
One game down, plenty more battles ahead. Keep it going, lads! πŸπŸ‘

πŸ’™πŸ–€ Minor Ladies Division D Final πŸ–€πŸ’™
Our Minor Ladies contested the Division D Final on Sunday against Doorabarefield2. Having already come out on top when the sides met earlier in the competition, the girls knew they were in for a tough battle.

The team showed tremendous character and commitment throughout. They played some excellent football and can be incredibly proud of the performance they produced on the day. A special shout-out goes to the two youngest members of the panel, Caoimhe Kelly and Aoife Murrihy. At just 13 years of age, they more than held their own on the big stage and should be hugely proud of their efforts and contribution to the team. πŸ‘πŸ’™

While the result didn't go their way, there is plenty to be proud of. The girls showed great commitment, determination and teamwork throughout the campaign, gaining valuable experience along the way. We look forward to seeing them continue to develop and progress as they build towards next year's competition.

"Finals don't always give you the ending you want, but they often reveal the character and potential that will drive future success." πŸ’™

🏐 U17 Kildysart/Coolmeen Championship Update 🏐
Our U17s made the long journey to Lisdoonvarna on Monday evening and didn't come away empty-handed, returning home with the points after an impressive 3-17 to 0-6 victory.
The win keeps the boys top of the table with just two games remaining. Next up is a home clash with Ennistymon in Kildysart , followed by a final championship game against Γ‰ire Γ“g in Coolmeen.
There will be no easy games from here on in, with both opponents sure to provide a stern test. With semi-final places still on the line, the next two matches will be crucial.
The boys have put themselves in a strong position, but it's all still to play for. Best of luck to the players and management as they prepare for a big finish to the campaign. πŸ’ͺ🏐

🌟 🏐Player Update🌟 🏐

Well done to all our underage players who have finished up with the Clare squads over the past few weeks.
It has been a pleasure following your journey and watching you represent both club and county with pride. Thank you for sharing those memories and experiences with us along the way. We look forward to seeing what 2027 brings and have no doubt that we'll be following many more of your achievements in the yellow & blue jerseys for years to come.

πŸπŸ’™ Coach's Quote of the Week πŸ’™πŸ
It's finally happened... they're back to school, back to routine, and  out of your hair! πŸ˜…
But now the real fun starts... homework battles, missing books, forgotten lunch boxes, and making sure everyone gets to the pitch on time... and preferably on the right day! πŸ˜‚πŸ

"School is back, the football is still going, and somewhere out there a parent has turned up at the right pitch... ON THE WRONG DAY !" 🀣🏐
