Another week done and dusted as we head towards the business end of the season for many of our teams. Championships are reaching a crucial stage, with plenty still to play for and lots of football ahead. π Some of our members also enjoyed a trip to the Ploughing Championships during the week, taking a well-earned break from training schedules and fixtures to experience one of the biggest events in the country. ππΎ There are a number of Soccer Cup games taking place locally over the weekend. If you get a chance, be sure to get out and support the lads representing their clubs and communities. β½π
It's also a busy time of year as many other sports return for the season. We want to wish all our members involved in athletics, karate, basketball, rugby and many more activities the very best of luck for the year ahead. Whether you're competing, coaching, volunteering, or cheering from the sidelines, enjoy every moment. π As always, thank you to everyone who gives their time to support young people in sport. The friendships, skills, confidence and memories being built today will last a lifetime.
Best of luck to all our teams and members this weekend and in the weeks ahead. One game at a time, one training session at a time, and keep enjoying the journey. ππ

π U14 Boys GAA Championship Update π
Our U14 boys travelled to Lisdoonvarna this week for their third round championship game and were unfortunately beaten on the evening. Despite the result, the lads can be extremely proud of their performances throughout the group stages, finishing 2nd in the table and securing their place in the U14B Championship Quarter-Final. π The focus now turns to the knockout stages, where they will face either Clooney-Quin or Doora-Barefield on 27th September. The lads have shown great commitment, teamwork and determination all year, and we wish them and their management team the very best of luck as they continue their championship journey. π "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." #KildysartCoolmeen #U14Championship #OneClub #ChampionshipFootball #FutureStars

π Junior A Ladies Championship Update π
Our Junior A Ladies' championship campaign came to an end last week, but this young team can be very proud of the commitment, effort and determination they showed throughout the season. πHaving stepped up from Junior B to Junior A this year, the squad faced a tough challenge against more experienced opposition. While results did not always go their way, the players continued to work hard, improve and represent the club with pride every time they took to the field. This is a young group with plenty of potential, and the experience gained this season will stand to them in the years ahead. With no relegation from Junior A this year, the team can look forward to building on what they have learned and returning even stronger in 2027. A huge thank you to the coaches, management team and parents for their dedication, encouragement and support throughout the year. Your commitment has been invaluable to the development of this team.Well done ladies. Attention now turns to their last round fixture on Saturday morning at 10am in Coolmeen, where a win would secure a home semi-final and give the team a huge boost heading into the knockout stages. The lads have put in a tremendous effort throughout the championship and have shown great commitment, teamwork and determination every step of the way. They now need one final push to finish the group stage on a high. π£ Get out and support the boys on Saturday morning and give them the backing they deserve.
