Clare Scór na nÓg will take place in Cois na hAbhna, Ennis, on Sunday, 1 November at 7:00 pm. 

Competitions include solo singing, instrumental music, ballad group, recitation/storytelling, figure dancing, set dancing, novelty act and the table quiz.

Scór na nOg Entry Form 2026
Eligibility 

1: Scor na nOg is for Secondary School Pupils ONLY. (Two 6th class students may make up a figure or set dancing 8 hand team or one 6th class in the case of a four hand team) 

2: Clubs may only enter one team in each competition. 

3: Group competitors MUST be members of the same club. 
4: Only fully affiliated official clubs may enter Scor. 

Riallacha (Regulations):

Rince Foirne: (Figure dancing)
Each group shall consist of not less that four and not more than eight dancers.
Dancers shall dance one body and one figure of the dance
There are NO marks awarded for dance on or dance off. 

Amhranaiocht Aonair (Solo Singing) 
Each competitor shall sing one song 
The song must relate to Ireland, its history, places, people, folklore etc
A competitor may accompany themselves or be accompanied by one musician on stage. (No recorded music allowed) 

Aithriseoireacht / Scealaiocht ( Recitation/Storytelling)
The recitation/story must relate to Ireland, its history, places, people, folklore etc.
The piece must not exceed four minutes 
The competitor may dress up if they wish


Ceol Uirlise  (Instrumental Music)
The competition is for groups of  3 to 5 people 
A keyboard, in piano mode is allowed.  


Bailead Ghrupa. (Ballad Group)
Groups must sing two contrasting ballads, the contrast to be in tempo.
Groups must consist of at least 3 and not more that 5 members (Penalty disqualification) 
The number in the group playing instruments is limited to 3 per song.
A piano is NOT allowed. 
An electric or battery operated instrument is not allowed 
A conductor is NOT allowed (Groups will be disqualified if they are seen to be coached) 


Rince Seit: (Set dancing)
Each group shall consist of not less that four and not more than eight dancers.
Dancers shall dance two figures of a traditional set
There are NO marks awarded for dance on or dance off. 

Nuachleas (Novelty Act)

The act may be performed by at least three and not more that eight people (Penalty disqualification) 
Hand props only allowed.                                                                                                                                   No electrical operated equipment allowed.                                                                                                             Each act shall take no more that 10 minutes including setting up and removal of props. 

Trath na gCeist (Question Time) 
The competition is for teams of 4 
10 rounds of questions (6 questions in each round)
