07/04/2023: There was fierce excitement behind in Kilrush when the Junior Ladies kept their “Final” hopes alive by securing an away draw v Kilrush2 in round 4 of the League, Kildysart 3-7, Kilrush 2-10. With Burren Gaels practically assured of the top spot, it will all come down to the final round and possibly score difference to see who secures the remaining place in the final between Kildysart, Kilrush & Miltown. Kildysart got off to a good start, aided by the accurate kick outs from Gillian Finucane and led by 7 at the half time whistle. With a strong breeze, it was a game of two halves as Kilrush fought back but Kildysart held on to earn a vital point in the tight race for the second place finish.
